Utah's Jordheim, CU's Boee Win Classic Races At DU Invitational

MINTURN, Colo.—Utah's Guro Jordheim and Colorado's Magnus Boee won the classic races on the first Nordic day of completion at the Denver Invitational on Saturday.

Utah holds a 66-point lead in the team standings over second-place Colorado going into Sunday's freestyle races.

The DU Invite closes with a pursuit freestyle race, with starting times determined based on finish times in today's race. The men's 10-km race begins at 9 a.m. with the women's 7.5-km race to follow.

  • Montana State's Zanden McMullen, also a freshman, finishes fourth in his first career race.
  • Utah's Logan Diekmann finishes in the top five for the second time this season, he has nine career top-five finishes.
  • Utah led the race with 93 points.
