PARK CITY, Utah—The Utah Utes took the lead in the RMISA Invitational after GS races on their home course here Sunday at Park City Resort.

The Utes placed second and fifth in both races with the third scoring coming in sixth in the men’s race and seventh in the women’s race to rack up 184 points in the two races and overtake Denver for the meet lead.

Denver’s Katie Hensien did win her second GS race in a row and Montana State’s Riley Seger won the men’s race while Westminster closed out the podium in both races with Mikkel Solbakken taking third in the men’s race and Julia Toivianinen third in the women’s race.

The alpine half of the RMISA Invitational is now complete and will resume in Fairbanks, Alaska, the first week of February after two races that will make up the UAF Invitational.

Teams remain in Utah for another GS race Monday and a slalom race Tuesday as part of the Utah Invitational.
