MIDWAY, Utah—Colorado's Magnus Boee and Utah's Sydney Palmer-Leger won classic sprint races that will count as NCAA Qualification races here Friday as part of U.S. National Championships.
Being a qualifier, no team scores were calculated.
Boee won the overall U.S. National Championship on the men's side, winning the finals heat. UAA's J.C. Schoonmaker finished second after winning the first two college races of the season and Utah's Noel Keeffe took third.
In women's action, Utah's Sydney Palmer-Leger won her third straight race to start the 2022 season and her fifth race in a row dating back to last year's NCAA Championships. She was joined on the podium by Alaska Anchorage's Tuva Bygrave and Colorado's Weronika Kaleta.
Most teams will remain in Utah and train ahead of the Montana State Invitational in Sun Valley, Idaho, next Friday and Saturday.
