DENVER— The Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) crowned Colorado as its 2026 Regular Season Champion, with the Buffaloes totaling 2,733 points across five meets. Colorado won three meets during the regular season, including the three combined alpine and Nordic meets, while Utah placed second with 2,463.5 points and Denver finished third with 2,275.
Colorado also led the season-long standings in the men’s and women’s overall races, as well as the alpine and Nordic titles. By discipline, the Buffaloes posted the top point totals in men’s alpine, women’s alpine and men’s Nordic, while Utah paced the women’s Nordic standings with 758 points to Colorado’s 729.
The RMISA has awarded a regular season championship each year since 2006, and Colorado has now won eight of those titles, including two of the last three seasons (2024 and 2026). The title adds to the program’s larger conference history, which includes 37 overall conference championships and 29 postseason titles dating back to 1950.
RMISA Championship competition begins this week with events split between two venues: alpine at Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, Montana, and Nordic at Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah. Due to weather, the alpine schedule was adjusted, with Thursday, Feb. 26 now set as a slalom qualifier, followed by the RMISA Championship slalom on Friday, Feb. 27 and the RMISA Championship giant slalom on Saturday, Feb. 28. Nordic races are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 27 (7.5K classic interval start) and Saturday, Feb. 28 (20K freestyle mass start).
