Colorado Wins Utah Invitational

Tuesday, February 24, 2026 • by Curtis Snyder

PARK CITY, Utah— Colorado claimed the Utah Invitational in dominant fashion Sunday, closing the regular season with a 126-point victory at Utah Olympic Park. The Buffaloes totaled 740 points for the meet, ahead of Utah (614) and Montana State (528), with Denver fourth (514).

In the alpine finale, Colorado won both slalom races as teams, with Utah finishing second in both the women’s and men’s races. The Buffs also placed five skiers in the combined top 10 across the two races, headlined by a win from Louison Accambray in women’s slalom and a podium finish from Filip Wahlqvist in the men’s event.

Accambray earned her first collegiate slalom victory, pairing the field’s second-fastest first run with the fastest second run to take the win. Montana State’s Justine LaMontagne finished runner-up, while Denver’s Sara Rask completed the podium in third.

On the men’s side, Colorado Mountain’s Lucas Ellis won the slalom, followed by Westminster’s Alejandro Puente Tasias in second. Wahlqvist climbed onto the podium in third for Colorado, leading a strong Buffs group that went 3-4-5.
